Arduino Shield to test and set up Pololu steppers drivers
I wrote a paper in french to describe the whole process here: https://www.lebearcnc.com/reglage-des-drivers-pour-moteurs-pas-pas-pololu-a4988-drv8825-drv8824-et-drv4834/
Step 1: Putting it together
- The first step is to break the row of male pins and insert them on an Arduino.
- Put the Shield on Top and solder the pins to the Shield
- Remove from the Arduino, insert both female headers into a Pololu driver, then insert this assembly into the appropriate holes on top of the shield
- Secure with some tape, turn the shield over, and solder the females headers to the shield
- Insert the condensator, being carefull about polarity, then solder it.
- Finally, take 4 pins from the row of male pins, insert them beside the driver male headers. Some tape may help to keep it straight when you turn it over.
- Solder those last 4 pins. They will be used to drive the stepper motor
