Part for custom 2stroke ignition
First time using PCBway for their SLM 3d Print service to make functional prototypes. Used a quick and dirty .stl file that I test printed at home from nylon to verify fitment, with very minimal refining and optimizing done to the model for my first test run. For the SLM print I went with the standard aluminum, AlSi10Mg. Parts arrived almost a week earlier than expected, and the quality was acceptable for the low price with minimal post processing needed. Even though they are 3d printed, they drill, tap, and sand just like normal aluminum with no visible layers or noteworthy defects. Definitely will be using them again, this will be a game changer for my small business. 3d printing the complete part is saving me lots of time vs laser cutting and welding+assembling pieces myself, for only a small additional price. Can't wait to try out the CNC services!
