'Dvorak Left-Hand 2.0' Human-Factored Compact Keyboard
Dr. August Dvorak invented two single-hand letter schemes for mechanical typewriters. He designed keyboard layouts to help his fellow veterans, veterans that were disabled while fighting in WW2.
I have modified those arrangements. The uneven key columns are made linear. The strong-side “Shift” keys are relocated to a more practical position, and the spacebars are shifted 1U toward the weak-side.
For young left-hand writers, the original letter scheme is replaced with a near mirrored arrangement of the right-hand.
Please Note: Although my designs suit me, I realize they may distress experienced Dvorak single-hand users. I will work with the single-hand community to build alternate arrangements upon request. Ask and you shall receive.
