It is a fully functional 17 V, 8 A optimized synchronous buck converter that integrates high-side and low-side MOSFETs through an efficient and small design.

Further space-saving mode control through current can reduce the number of components and reduce the footprint of the inductor by selecting a high switching frequency.

The output voltage start ramp is provided by the SS / TR pin, which can be operated as a stand alone and powered or in tracking state.

Power can also be sequenced through proper configuration to enable and open-drain power good pins.

The high-side FET cycle-by-cycle current limit protects the device under overload conditions, and the low-side source current limit improves protection against current runaway.

There is also a low-side current sink limit that turns off the low-side MOSFET to prevent excessive reverse current.
