Yolk Workshop - Wireless Keyboard
The Yolk Keyboard is a versatile and aesthetically refined wireless keyboard designed to meet the needs of the modern, mobile workspace. Featuring automatic Bluetooth-to-USB switching, this keyboard effortlessly transitions between wireless and wired modes, adapting to any workflow with zero disruption. The backlight, designed with a subtle breathing effect, adjusts intelligently to ambient lighting, ensuring optimal visibility without causing unnecessary strain or glare.
At its core, the Yolk Keyboard is powered by an efficient STM32L072 microcontroller, handling a range of intelligent functionalities while keeping power consumption low. The keyboard is equipped with a proximity sensor that detects user presence, allowing it to wake up automatically as you approach. An ambient light sensor fine-tunes the backlight in response to environmental changes, maintaining comfort and extending battery life. Additionally, a programmable slide touch interface on the keyboard enables users to customize gestures and shortcuts, adding a new layer of functionality ideal for professionals, designers, and tech enthusiasts seeking personalized control.
The physical design of the Yolk Keyboard reflects a blend of brutalist architecture and pop art, combining clean lines and a minimalist structure with striking, playful accents. Constructed with a custom PCB and housed in a thoughtfully designed enclosure, every aspect of this keyboard has been developed with precision and care. Currently in the prototype phase with completed 3D models and fabricated PCBs, the Yolk Keyboard is on track for release in the next few months.
The Yolk Keyboard isn’t just a tool—it’s a piece of functional art, designed to bring efficiency, style, and a tailored typing experience to your daily setup
