D14-363GY-123 breakout board
The project had been a simple breakout board for an D14-363GY-123 cathode ray tube that has been used in a quantum physics experiment as improvised and very cheap electron gun (by being cut open). The PCB housed the connection pins for the CRT on one side, SMA connectors for beam deflection on the other side and a 9 pin D-SUB connector for high voltage (2.2 kV to 3 kV) feedthroughs. In addition decoupling capacitors and a groundplane had been housed below the CRT. The whole PCB was mounted in vacuum inside a copper housing to reduce RF radiation of the whole setup. As usual the ordering process was very simple and fast, special features (like no solder mask & no silkscreen) had been very simple. The technical review process was very fast, the manufacturing and delivery also had been faster than for any other manufacturer. The PCB design is available on GitHub at https://github.com/tspspi/D14_363GY_123_breakoutPCB
