GameBoy Cart Flasher 2016

This project is based on popular GB Cart Flasher (you can get schematics and pcb design on http://www.reinerziegler.de/), but I moved the pcb design to eagle and made a couple of little changes. Unfortunately, since it was my first time with Eagle, I made a mistake - the place for a smd element(FT232BL) is half the size of the actual chip. For now, The best solution I came up with is just soldering the element to a TQFP32 adapter, and wiring it to the main pcb - I don't have the adapter yet, so it's not on the photos (I'm missing a couple of resistors, too). Anyway: what does this device do? Well, it's able to dump the original GameBoy, or GameBoy Color game roms on your computer, you can also download and upload the game saves to the game cartridge. The best feature, however, is ability to flash your own games on flash cartridges (they are easy to make - you just need a specific cartridge and an EPROM memory) Most of the parts needed to build the device are quite common, but unfortunately, the only way to get the GameBoy cartridge slot is to unsolder it from an old GameBoy, which makes it pretty pricey. That's why I modified the original PCB project, by adding smd plates - It's easy to get the NDS GBA slots (you need to modify them a bit to fit the original GameBoy carts), but they are designed to be soldered as smd parts.
