MicroMatch 16p Breakout

Micromatch by default has a 1.27mm pitch, that isn't particularly useful when designing and testing circuits on the breadboard. Therefore a breakout was needed.

Step 1: Ordering the PCBs

This board breaks the offset 1.27mm pitches out onto a regular 2.54mm pitch and is sized so it fits snuggly in the center of a solderless breadboard. If you should ever consider remaking it: Mind the polarizing pole, that needs a hole in the circuit. Here it was added later with a dremel-tool. Could have been avoided with proper planning…

Step 2: Soldering the components

Micromatch comes in various sizes and pin-counts. Consider it when tight on space but many pins are needed so that competing connectors (e.g. JST) become a hassle to use. This board breaks out the commonly used 16-pin-connector.
