  • I have one question. Do you remowe led diode on 1 Gy-521 Gyro & Acceleration Sensor ? On the ISpindel github pages recomend remove this diode.

    Erick Barrios 2019-05-15 20:49:41Reply

I'm wondering this as well. Thanks

    Anthony Calandro 2019-06-11 21:59:48Reply

I'm still not clear on this? Should I remove the LED from the Gyro and ESP?

    Filippo Ceraulo 2019-07-05 12:38:19Reply

    yes, you can remove it

    Mihajlo Zivkovic 2020-10-21 21:42:56Reply

Hmm... this i not clear. You can or you have to ? is it must?` I didnt remove it, never had any issues ? so why ?

    Hans Hassing 2021-01-14 19:41:02Reply

Should i remove the led diode because of safety issues?

    Stuart Beard 2021-01-22 22:26:23Reply

just use an acrylic pen and paint over the it, you will see a slight glow but this will do no harm

  • Hi, your shopping list of parts details a 220k ohm resistor but the pcb details a 230k. Which is correct? Thanks

    Filippo Ceraulo 2019-11-24 22:00:25Reply

    Yes, correct

    Stuart Eastwell 2019-11-29 02:06:35Reply

Which is correct 220 or 230? Thanks

    Stuart Smith 2019-12-03 03:02:08Reply

I had the same question. All the iSpindel documentation suggests 220, but you have 230 printed on the board. Do we use 220 or 230?

    Clive Brooker 2019-12-04 23:36:09Reply

230K isn't a standard value, you'll have to go to a specialist suppliers if you really want one. Easiest solution is to solder a 220K and 10K in series, bit ugly but it works.

    Per Ole Gabrielsen 2019-12-25 06:46:36Reply

Is it nessesary for it to be 230 or can 220 be used?

    Stuart Smith 2020-01-08 06:20:18Reply

Just updating from my experience. I am running just the 220k ohm resistor in that spot and it is working fine. I think that was the intent in the design and just printed wrong on the board.

  • I've received this question (from pcbway) "There are two slots at GKO layer, please check them at attached two pictures. Should we make them as plated slots or non-plated slots?" I think it's plated but not sure, could you help ?

    Filippo Ceraulo 2019-10-10 03:13:23Reply

    skip, pls

    François-Xavier SURBEZY 2019-10-27 01:42:03Reply

Sorry, I dont understand what you mean ?

    Open Source Distilling 2019-10-29 05:46:59Reply

I got the same question when I made my order. I told them to plate the slots but I'm not sure if that's the best way or not. My switches seem to work fine. It appears that Filippo?Ceraulo is telling you not to plate them but that's an assumption that I am making. I would like confirmation as well. What is the best way to answer the question, plated or not plated?

  • Hi CherryPhilip Please can you assist me. I purchased one of your PCB rev 4 Boards. My Ispindel sends data to ubidots the first time and then wont wake up again to send data again. I have read up comments regarding the Bat 43 diode vs 330 resistor and have tried both with no effect. I am a novice when it comes to building an IOT device and would appreciate it if you could spot any mistakes that I might have made. I have attached some photos. This is the second one that I have built with the same problem
