Assembly Description: Integrated BLE microprocessor and NFC peripheral for wireless communication. PCBWay managed to source all the components I needed at competitive prices. I like how they were quick to communicate and give me feedback on my BOM to accommodate all the components with their suppliers. I had to make a revision to the BOM mid-way through the order due to a change is design. PCBWay was accommodating of these changes and processed everything via email so that I did not have to cancel or restart my order. Part of my board had heat-sinking vias in the central GND pad for a QFN package. This is notoriously difficult for manufacturers but PCBWay did an excellent job with this. There is no solder coming out of the vias on the back of the board and the IC is making good contact with the pads. I am very impressed because I was aware of this manufacturing difficulty and had even considered removing it from the design when reading several PCB design forums. The sourcing of components and assembly process took 14 working days which is half of the 28-30 day estimated build time on the quote. I was very happy with this because the estimated 30 days would have been very long to wait. The assembly process did leave some colourless residue on the boards and a few scuff marks. I know these marks are not from transport because of the quality control photo I received from PCBWay before shipping. I was able to clean off the residue with methylated spirits once the boards arrived. I am very happy with the quality of the board, the speed with which it was assembled, and the sourcing of components offered by PCBWay.
