TadBoy Color
The aluminum cart shield in my “TadBoy Color” Gameboy project is an impressive and essential addition to the build. The black anodized finish adds a sleek, professional look that matches perfectly with the custom aesthetic I’m aiming for. Anodizing not only provides a rich, deep black color but also adds an extra layer of durability, making the shield highly resistant to scratches and wear over time, which is essential for handheld use. The bead-blasted texture is another excellent feature, providing a balanced matte finish that feels great in hand. This texture is smooth enough to maintain a sleek look but offers a slight grip, ensuring the shield doesn’t feel overly slippery when inserting or removing cartridges. It’s also lightweight, so it doesn’t add any unnecessary bulk, keeping the overall Gameboy comfortably portable. Beyond aesthetics, the shield feels sturdy and fits snugly in the Gameboy case without shifting or rattling, highlighting the precision in its design. This component not only enhances the overall visual appeal of the “TadBoy Color” but adds a layer of durability and functionality that’s hard to achieve with other materials. I’m thoroughly impressed with how it completes and elevates the look and feel of my custom Gameboy project.
