Hello,
I have a question related to routing. I want to make a routing program in CAM350 for removing the mill tabs in the manufacturing process. The process should go like this:
The machine routs the PCB panel leaving single PCBs attached to the panel with mill tabs.
The operator of the machine then uses duct tape and tapes it on the PCBs
After that the operator again starts the machine , and the machine then does simple small routing lines to mill out the mill tabs , the duct tape holds the PCBs in place so the PCBs don't get damaged during the process.
My question is: Is there a fast way in CAM350 to generate a routing program that will mill out the mill tabs? I tried it and when we get a panel from our buyer and on him the panelization is already finnished I have to add a mill path in a new layer on every place where there is a mill tab, but that takes up to much time.I hope you can share your experience with me, because that would increase the quality of our product and on PCB panels with small PCB boards the operator wouldn't have a painfull job of sanding down every mill tab on every PCB board.
