Aluminum keyboard housing prototype top

this is the top housing of the final prototype, it was aesthetically perfect, however the screw holes suffered some degradation on the threading, since they were not sealed before sandblasting. the part is still usable, but the bottom half of the threaded holes are not, I had to use shorter screws to get around this issue, but it is acceptable in a prototype.

  • Hi, the sandblasting (aka bead blast) process will not affect the depth of the threaded hole, because the screw will turn in once it is tightened. 2. The reason we speculated may be that the depth of the threaded hole (10mm on the design drawing) does not match the actual screw length. Please check again.

how stupid do you think I am that I dont’t know what length of screw to use on my own design? the threads below a certain depth are un-usable, the hole is not filled, I never said it was.
