PROJECT SUMMARY
This application proposal provides a circuit design for a generic base board for driving various IGBT power modules up to a maximum blocking voltage of 1200V. The design depends on the specific requirements such as adjustment of RGon, RGoff, SSD and Basic Active Clamping can easily be done. The board is suitable for IGBT power modules in various housing such as 34 mm, 63 mm, EconoPACK™, EconoDUAL™,and PrimePACK™.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This application proposal provides a circuit design for a generic base board for driving various IGBT power modules up to a maximum blocking voltage of 1200V. The design depends on the specific requirements such as adjustment of RGon, RGoff, SSD and Basic Active Clamping can easily be done. The board is suitable for IGBTpower modules in various housing such as 34 mm, 63 mm, EconoPACK™, EconoDUAL™,and PrimePACK™.
The main features of the design are:
- Suitable for IGBT power modules in various housings such as 34mm, 62mm, EconoPACK, MonoDUAL, PrimePACK, etc. with a maximum blocking voltage of 1200V
- (Optional) Basic Active Clamping
- Short-circuit detection with SSD
- Electrical PWM inputs and status outputs
- 0V/15V PWM input logic
- 0V/15V status output logic
- Minimum pulse suppression (optional)
- 15V supply voltage
- Single PCB solution with soldered-in gate driver core 2SC0106T
