What does that even mean?
I figured this part out. Took a bit of detective work. First, you need wechat for your phone, I use it for work so already had it. Then as a contact, you find Punkcyber IPS. Here is where it get interesting. On your phone, go to your wifi, the clock broadcasts Punkcyber as its SSID. Password is 12345678910. Be sure to look at the end of that password, it is 910, not 90. Wechat will ask if it can connect to local devices, I said yes being daring. Now, the Punkcyber IPS contact now is the interface for the clock. It will let you sync time, turn and/or change the LED actions, allow you to use other clock fonts, and upload custom pics. Basically the software via Wechat. Pretty bizzare but guessing they have a phone app in China but not here. Debating on sending it back as the PC software via this site won't recognize the clock via USB (after I installed every driver mentioned) so I can't download either from this site or the custom versions mentioned in this chat. Good luck!
Greetings Mark. I found your firmware earlier on the Internet. Then the page had firmware only for EleksTube IPS V1. I tried many projects. Your firmware is the best! Easy to flash. Easy to set up. The buttons work. Menu is working. I have a watch Punkcyber. Therefore, the firmware for EleksTube IPS V1 does not suit me (mirror display of the numbers SS:MM:HH). I saw an update on your site today. I tried the firmware Punkcyber for my watch. Unfortunately, the firmware Punkcyber indicators do not work. That is, neither the numbers, nor the weather, nor the menu are displayed. Black screens. The clock connects to Wi-Fi, the web interface works. There are no errors in the log.
Hi. I have the punk cyber version, I was able to install your firmware (after fitting the CH340 USB Serial IC and a couple of other components that are not installed). I can connect to the clock and configure it, read info back etc but as Alex below states the displays are blank.
I'll take a look
If I run the firmware for this clock on my Elekstube clock, I see the images reversed, so that would imply it should work on your hardware. First question is: are the LEDs on? If they are off then the clock is in the 'off' state as defined in the clock screen. If it is in the off state, clicking or pressing any button should turn the display on for a few seconds. To help me try to figure out what might be going on, you could also install the elekstube v1 firmware and let me know if you have the same problem, or if you then see the displays, just reversed. Could you also verify which version of the firmware you installed? Also, probably best to raise this as an issue on https://github.com/judge2005/EleksTubeIPS/issues and we can work through it from there.
Great job Mark! I just downloaded the new firmware (1.0) for Punkcyber from your site. She is working! The problem with black monitors has disappeared (it was at 0,2,0). Thank you for your work!!!
What is the solution if the screens are out of order with Punkcyber, if I install elekstube v1 the screens glitch out a lot and will go blank randomly.
Okay, I will have the relevant personnel contact you for further handling.
I have the exact same issue after the same initial problem and trying to fix it the same way. I received a "PunkCyber" branded clock, instead of the EleksTube one, so there seems to be some differences with it...beginning with the Menu button not working.
Hi there, I manage to fix the issue by push the image files as described above, but now I get the same problem, digit display from left to right, SS:MM:HH, are you able to give me some advice to fix it? Many thanks indeed
I'm having the same issue. The menu button isn 't working
Dear PCBWay Team, any idea on how to fix the reverse clock issue ? Thank you
After trying https://github.com/hallard/PCBWay-RGB-Glow-Tube-DIY-Clock and it being a failure I went to https://github.com/SmittyHalibut/EleksTubeHAX and from there to https://github.com/wfdudley/EleksTubeHAX-wfdudley I got it working but the digits were reversed. I got them the correct way round by editing GLOBAL_DEFINES.h and changing the following block from: #define SECONDS_ONES (0) #define SECONDS_TENS (1) #define MINUTES_ONES (2) #define MINUTES_TENS (3) #define HOURS_ONES (4) #define HOURS_TENS (5) to #define SECONDS_ONES (5) #define SECONDS_TENS (4) #define MINUTES_ONES (3) #define MINUTES_TENS (2) #define HOURS_ONES (1) #define HOURS_TENS (0) That got mine working.
I have this version. I see a "PUNKCYBER" WiFi network appear when the device is plugged in, but cannot join the network. What is the default password, and what application should I use to change the settings once I can connect?
The password is "12345678910", though it doesn't appear to have any web servers for controlling it.

Me too. Bricked. did you get it to work?
I bought 2 units so I was able to read flash of the working one and put into the bricked one. Here your solution :-) https://github.com/hallard/PCBWay-RGB-Glow-Tube-DIY-Clock
Thank you Thank you it is back and running. awesome. I didn't try the one file and did all 4 (chicken). Did you try once again to load new 'fonts' into the device? if so what program did you use. I've seen at least 3 versions and that got us in trouble the first time.
Glad you get it back to life. no i did net try, I already spent too much time on something that should work but not. I will wait for @PCBWay support on this.
OK, I tried two of them and both bricked the clock. And the flash_full.bin works good.
well, thanks for the follow up, you tried to flash other firmware or just to upload new digit template?
Hi, we have added the path of the software at the end of the product description, you can download it.
does not work
Do you meet any questions? The link has been updated, and you can now click on it to download.
I have downloaded and it does not work. it does not take control of the clock and place the esp32 into a mode to accept any data.
I will send an email to you.
I got it to work - after much poking and prodding - I finally ended where I should have started with Process Monitor. The call to mkspiffs.bat was failing, presumably because of the unicode in the path. I renamed my folder to simply Elekstube and it worked to generate the new data.bin, which can be uploaded with esptool.
That's wonderful if it turns out to be like that.
Hello everyone. Although everything is in Spanish, take a look at this: http://j-rpm.com/2023/09/esp32-con-elekstubehax/
Hello Sisteck. I've updated the clock and documented everything that needs to be done to get it working, even posting a video on YouTube. The problem is that it is all in Spanish, but I suppose that with the images and graphs that I made you will have no problem and you will succeed.
