Crowdfunding Project——Sensor Watch Pro

Mobile Devices

Sensor Watch Pro can be used as a replacement motherboard for the Casio F-91W and A158 watches. The designer has integrated the classic design of digital watches with modern powerful microcontrollers and advanced sensor technology, ultimately creating a small circuit board with powerful functions. The circuit board is equipped with onboard temperature and infrared light sensors, as well as a 9-pin expansion port for adding other sensors, such as accelerometers, on modular add-on boards. These enhancements enable users to interact with the surrounding world more effectively and comprehensively.

Sensor Watch Pro is fully compatible with Movement, the community firmware for Sensor Watch. For users who wish to customize their watch, Sensor Watch Pro offers perfect support. It provides over 80 watch faces and uses a simple no-code customization method. This means that customers can easily create a firmware image with the exact features they want by simply dragging and dropping the watch faces onto the watch. Additionally, the Sensor Watch Pro has a very powerful battery life, lasting more than a year on just one button cell.

Enhanced Sensing Capabilities

With Sensor Watch Pro board, users can achieve many interesting functions: build firmware images that include sunset times and moon phases, a Mars clock, a dice roller, or tarot cards. By adding an RGB LED, the backlight can display all the colors of the rainbow, while the IR LED opens up new possibilities for data input and light sensing. These features greatly increase the fun and versatility of Sensor Watch Pro.

Using the accelerometer add-on board, users can transmit three-axis acceleration data (via USB or UART) for data logging or machine learning. Additionally, the accelerometer can recognize taps and detect free falls, as well as alert users to motion events and changes in orientation, making it highly useful for activity tracking.

Of course, if the existing add-on boards are not sufficient, Sensor Watch Pro fully allows users to design their own custom versions. While the design team has no plans for a magnetometer add-on board, users can create one themselves to add a compass to the watch, or an infrared LED for two-way communication. The expandable nature of the 9-pin connector makes Sensor Watch Pro a platform of infinite possibilities.
