DownStream Technologies has announced a new configuration and price structure for its BluePrint for PCBs documentation product. Named BluePrint Foundations, the new configuration is built around the same core technology as BluePrint for PCBs (introduced in 2005), allowing users to create comprehensive PCB fabrication, assembly, and rework documentation.
The company reports BluePrint Foundation is aligned in price to appeal to PCB designers who currently use PADS, OrCAD, and CADStar PCB layout products.
“The market demand for BluePrint has so far surpassed our wildest expectations. BluePrint Foundations will allow us to further expand the market by providing a solution to PCB layout designers who may be on a more restricted budget but still require comprehensive documentation to build their products,” said Rick Almeida, a founder of DownStream Technologies. “BluePrint Foundations provides a customizable solution, as well as a path for adding additional functionality as our customer’s technical and financial conditions evolve. The product is modular and can be incrementally upgraded at any time,” he added.
Features include unlimited PCB views, hyperlinking, automatic ECO updates, full word processing with spell check, exotic file importation, web publishing.
