Audio & Music Crowdfunding Project

The ANAVI Dev Mic is an open-source microphone that is designed to be compact, affordable, highly adaptable, and incorporates machine learning into its design. It works in conjunction with the Seeed Studio XIAO RP2040 module and an omnidirectional digital microphone to ensure excellent capture and processing of sound.

For artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) speech applications, the quality of audio capture depends on the clarity of the microphone. Even though affordable USB microphones can handle most purposes, they may still have drawbacks such as picking up excessive ambient noise, hardware inflexibility, and proprietary firmware that cannot be updated or improved.

Three Main Advantages for ANAVI Dev Mic:

  1. Transparency: As open hardware, ANAVI Dev Mic facilitates accessibility, education, and the right to repair.
  2. Extensibility: With nine GPIO pins on the PCB, ANAVI Dev Mic is capable of extensive hardware expansion. You can integrate additional buttons, LEDs, and sensors to enhance its functionality and adapt it for various applications.
  3. Customizability: Thanks to its open-source firmware, ANAVI can be tailored to your specific needs and preferences.

Fine-Tune Your Microphone

By flashing firmware, you can customize the ANAVI Dev Mic to your liking for specific applications, or expand its functionality by connecting other components (such as LED indicators, mute switches, and other buttons) through its I/O pins. Whether for research, developing speech recognition systems, or creating interactive experiences, the ANAVI Dev Mic can be a helpful assistant.
