The printed circuit boards (PCBs) of your computers or electronic devices can collected dust and debris over time. Air and dust particles can get sucked into your devices by fans. Buildup of dust particles can even cause the components inside your electronic devices to short out. Cleaning your circuit board is an effective way to maintain your computer or electronic device and make it last longer.
Instructions
1 Unplug any power chords from your computer or electronic device.
2 Unscrew the casing of your computer or electronic device with the PCB you want to clean.
3 Remove any batteries inside your electronic device by slipping it out with your fingers. The battery will be small, flat and round, like a watch battery.
4 Spray the PCB with the can of compressed air to remove excess dust.
5 Dip a Q-tip in rubbing alcohol and dab at any areas where excess gunk or crud has built up over time.
6 Slide the battery back into place and close your computer by tightening any casing screws.
