MQ-2 Smoke and Gas Sensor Module
Description:
The gas sensitive material used in the MQ-2 gas sensor is tin dioxide (SnO2) with low conductivity in clean air. When there is combustible gas in the environment where the sensor is located, the conductivity of the sensor varies with the concentration of combustible gas in the air. Using a simple circuit, the change in conductivity can be converted into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration.
Features
1. Wide detection range
3. Quick response and recovery
2. High sensitivity
4. Beneficial stability
5. Long life and low cost
6. Simple drive circuit
Working voltage: 5 VDC
Power consumption (current): 150 mA
Output form: analog and digital output
Attention:
When the MQ sensor module is connected to VCC and GND, the power indicator of the module will light up. Before using, the power supply should be warmed up for at least 2 minutes. It is normal for the sensor to heat up slightly because there is a heating wire inside.
Wire it correctly! Do not reverse the positive and negative connections, which will burn out the electronic components of the board. The sensitivity of the sensor probe is non-linear, so the analog output voltage has a non-linear relationship with the concentration of sensitive gas. In the actual test, the distance from the sensitive source gas will be different in concentration. The 5.1ohm resistor is connected in the heating circuit of the sensor to protect the heating wire from the impact of cold power-on.
