If it's possible to control the power output of a 12V/150W heating element using some sort of buck converter circuit. It should step down the 12V input to various voltages required to vary the output wattage from 50-150W based on various conditions that the MCU determines. I know I could build this from scratch and use an MCU's PWM output to control the duty cycle of a buck converter's switching FET but I'm wondering if there's something off-the-shelf that I could still control with an MCU.
