1 Watt "Champ" Utility Amplifier
Need a small utility amplifier to drive a speaker? This is the amp! Coined the "Champ", was originally the intellectual property of Darren B. Yates of Silicon Chip magazine (around 1995). Now, here it is in all its glory, together with a simple Class-A preamplifier, the "Champ"!
I would suggest using smaller profile capacitors for the 470nF, as the footprint I chose may be too small for MKT style to fit. Polyester "green-cap" capacitors would be a good substitute.
