Apple II Gotek Adapter
This adapter uses simple, off the shelf 2.54mm pin headers and sockets to adapt a Shugart style gotek to work with an Apple II. Tested with Apple IIc, IIe, and IIGS (Disk II Mode Only).
On one side of the board solder a 2x17 2.54mm female header and a 1x4 either tall female header or let it sit off the board a mm or 2 for better connection.
The other side gets 2x10 male and 1x2 male. The terminal block is not needed.
Works with .woz, .dsk (rename to .do), .do, or .po apple II disk images when converted to .hfe (ideally .hfe Experimental Rev 3 if you're using the beta software that was released on Christmas 2023). That's it!
I have a pre-converted copy of the latest ProDos in my repo. https://github.com/mudmin/AnotherMaker/tree/master/Apple%20II%20Gotek
Much thanks to Jean-François over at https://hxc2001.com/docs/gotek-floppy-emulator-hxc-firmware/pages/apple.html for the firmware, the conversion, software and the tech support.
