Adjustable linear power supply with current limiting
### DESCRIPTION
PCB board for building a linear power supply. The input voltages have to be already rectified. All input voltages have to be referenced to the same ground!
### TECHNICAL DETAILS / COMPONENTS
The supply will have 6 outputs, namely +5V, -5V, +15V, -15V, +1.2V...30V Adjustable and GND. Every fixed-output channel is fused for max 1A, and the adjustable channel has a separate adjustable overcurrent protection, which uses a potentiometer, a Hall-Effect sensor and an op-amp comparator.
Board size: 100 by 55 mm. The distance between the four regulators is that wide, because they will be placed on a radiator. The other single regulator will have its own larger radiator.
Components: The fuses have to be chosen based on your transformer limitations. The current through the fixed regulators should not exceed 1A ! The fuse footprints are for PPTC resettable fuses, such as TRF250-1000. All other components and their values can be seen from the board, except R6 R7 R8 and R9 which are the smd resistors for the +5 -5 +15 -15 smd leds, and their value is up to you ( how bright do you want the led light to be )
The equations for the current monitoring and current limiting values on the adjustable output side can be read from the board!
