Somei70 keyboard PCB - 70 key alternative layout
The inspiration behind the design this time round is to keep the usual staggered row appearence while removing the return key from it’s usual position and dividing up the standard space bar into 3 smaller bars, by doing so it allows you to utilise your thumbs for both space and return similar to that seen on many split keyboards.
Due to the space free’d up by the return key being relocated, we now have two extra keys where one would have been.
Another change is that all 3 rows are now staggered by the same distance, meaning the left shift has been shrunk down to 2u instead of 2.25u and right shift is now a 1u instead of 1.25u with an additional key available.
Features:
70 Key Layout
RGB LED’s on the top row for cosmetics, similar to that of the Ashwing66
Staggered row layout
Support for Elite-Pi/Frood or similar 29 pin Pro-Micro style controllers
128×32 OLED Display pins for optional OLED support
QMK compatible (Fully customisable)
Kailh hotswap sockets for MX switches
