Amazon Alexa based smart home device

Hello everyone

Myself Mayoogh Girish an 3rd year Electronics and Communication student. Passionated about electronics, programming, 3D printing. Currently I am running a online education initiative called Avishkar. for helping the maker community.

Its is Amazon alexa based home automation system using Esp8266 NodeMCU.

In the photo you can see I am using two seprate board( Relay Board and Nodemcu). here I need to power the nodeMCU seprately (which is a drawback). I am planning to make a custom board with wifi module and relay with Stepping down circuit for AC 230v to 5v DC.So the project will be more compact.

This project allows user to control thier home appliance using thier voice or smartphone.
Here I have used Amazon echo dot for the voice interface 
For programming I have used arduino IDE
