What's FSAE?

FSAE was founded in Pontiac, Michigan by the Society of Automotive Engineers to let students get hands-on experience of the automotive world by having them operate a virtual company. FSAE is also an educational event with over 80,000 members from 97 countries worldwide involved in the automotive and aerospace fields.

What's Sophia Racing?

History ～2023

Sophia Racing are some of the oldest Student Formula team in Japan. We are also the team with the most championships in Japan.

Until last year, we formed a team jointly with Aoyama Gakuin University, but starting this year, we have become a team based solely on Sophia University.

We work in a section of the thermodynamics laboratory with the backing of Sophia University Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences. We design different parts using Creo Parametric 4.0 CAD software and various CAE programs.We also participate in different sponsor meetings and events, and open campus events held at the university.

ER02 2023

Although the ER02 could not pass vehicle inspection, it won the Best Composite Award and the Best Aero Award.

Next Project SR20 2024

We are currently creating a new vehicle for the 2024 Formula SAE Japan. The name of new vehicle is SR20. This will be the 20th car built by Sophia Racing. SR20 is expected to be a better performance vehicle than last year's vehicle.

Also, the PCB we created last year will be even more powerful!
