BSPD - Brake System Plausibility Device

We are EVR TUIASI the Formula Student team of the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași Driven by a passion for innovation and technology we have embarked on an ambitious journey to develop a fully electric race car for the Formula Student competitions in 2025 Founded in 2023 our team already consists of over 50 dedicated members who combine their expertise to bring innovative and safe technological solutions to the field of electric mobility

One of our key achievements is the BSPD Brake System Plausibility Device an essential electronic circuit for the safety of our electric vehicle This device ensures that the motor power supply is cut off under critical situations which is a strict requirement in Formula Student competitions

The BSPD disconnects the motor power supply when the braking force exceeds 80% of its capacity and the motor power is above 5 kW These conditions must occur simultaneously for 05 seconds while the power remains disconnected for a period of 10 seconds
