Barebone Arduino

This project was about building an Arduino UNO without the unnecessary components.

I noticed after a while that I was running out of amperage to work with in my designs and after looking in the Arduino UNO's schematic I found that it can only provide up to 1.5A... So, I designed this board which provides up to 3A of current!

In the UNO's design Arduino utilizes the AMS1117 5.0, this is not a very energy efficient regulator. But my design utilizes DC-DC Buck Converter technology! In my design the heart of my power delivery is the LM2576 5.0 Regulator. Buck converter technology has been proven to be quite more efficient reaching efficiency of 94%, whereas linear regulators can get only maybe 30% efficiency.
