EMUS Project

About The Team

The EMUS, Electric Motorcycle University of Sherbrooke, is a student group of the University of Sherbrooke who are focused on the design of racing electric motorcycles. Our goal is to compete in different student motorcycle competition around the world. Actually, we participate at the Emotoracing Varsity Challenge every year at the New Jersey Motorsport Park. We are the winner of the 2016 & 2017 Varsity Challenge with our first prototype.

We currently working on a second prototype to be eligible for the Motostudent competition in Spain.

The PCB

One of the most important parts of the battery system of an electric vehicle is the Battery Management System (BMS). This system ensures that the battery is always used in the operating range of voltage, current and temperature. We decided to make our custom electronic circuit board because we want to have a very compact and be installed close to the lithium-ion cells. The design of our own electronic allows us to have full controlled over hardware and software versus buy an off-the-shelf solution.

Sponsorship

The sponsorship of PCBway will give a big help for our team because of the automated assembly of our prototype will save us a huge number of working hours. With the feedback, we heard from, we are sure that we will receive high quality circuit board.
