OBC Drone HAT
### DESCRIPTION ( Introduce yourserlf and your project)
Hello, I'm Vladimir Ermakov, one of core developers of MAVLink (now standard defacto telemetry for various drone autopilots) and bridge for Robot Operating System.
I want to make Raspberry Pi B HAT (addon module) that help to connect Pixhawk 2 autopilot with onboard computer. Also suitable for usage at ground station (telemetry and video gateway).
That will be openhardware project, repo: https://github.com/vooon/obc-drone-hat
Currently early WiP, but i think to continue HW design in one or two weeks.
### TECHNICAL DETAILS (With project photos)
- I hope to fit into 2-layer PCB, 65x56.5 HAT format. And place all components on top layer. (should be possible because NET is small)
- Broard should include switching power supply capable to handle 6S LiPo 22.2V nominal (at least 30Vin max) and provide 5V 4A (2.5A reserved for rpi).
- 5V FAN output for controllable cooling FAN
- 2 UART with RTS/CTS DroneCode.org ports
- 1-n I2C ports (suitable for OLED status display)
- 1 port for FrSky XSR receiver (used to bridge taranis with LRS radio).
