PEGASUS RACING - Formula Car Maker Team

Found in 2009,Pegasus Racing, the Formula Student Team of PSG College of Technology, PSG Motorsports, Coimbatore, is a team of 45 – 50 undergraduate students who design and manufacture a student formula car from scratch and participate in various Formula Student events across the world.

We will participate in events like Formula Students Germany[FSG] ,Formula Bharath.

In our last event Formula Bharath 2024, we secured overall 19th rank in national level and 2nd place in south India.

This season we are planning to participate in Formula Bharat 2025

There are more than 15-20 PCB's we manufacture and use in our car. Some of the important PCB circuits and their roles are

1) ECU - Electronic control unit

It controls the motor controller. It consists of high voltage and low voltage parts. A potentiometer is connected across the accelerator pedal.

and converts analog signal into digital signal. ECU is the main circuit in our car. It control the motor controller which controls the motor.

2) BSPD (BRAKE SYSTEM PLAUSIBILITY DEVICE)

It is a standalone non-programmable circuit. Standalone is defined as there is no additional functionality implemented on all required Printed Circuit Boards. The BSPD circuit is directly connected to the low voltage. To detect hard braking, a brake system pressure sensor is used.

To measure power delivery, a DC circuit current sensor is used.
