Pandamaniacs Robotics

Our team, the Pandamanics, is a student-led, engineering-oriented team. Playing a head-to-head challenge with robots can be hard, but it helps us emphasize and grow as leaders as well as a team. We’re innovative thinkers that try to use different alternatives to traditional materials. In addition to that, we are a very multifaceted team. For those who don’t have mechanical inclinations, there are other options such as programming, organization, and safety roles. We channel our creative members’ talent toward graphic design or adding a splash of color to our robots. If we have members that are extroverted and enjoy socialization, their talents are utilized in scouting during competitions. One of our key principles is inclusivity, and we strive to uphold it. No matter who you are, you have a place on this team. We put an increased emphasis on making sure everyone treats our club as a safe space. Here, everyone is passionate about STEM. In addition to that, FIRST Robotics is a place where the motto “friendly competition” takes a literal turn. Here, even if you stand on the opposite side of the field, someone will help you.

We have been an established club for two decades, and throughout the years, have attended many competitions, where we have performed quite well. Unfortunately, for these said competitions, we have to have adequate funding. For the competition, we require money for buying and replacing equipment for the robot, a bus to carry the team to competitions farther away, hotels to stay at for some competitions, catering for long distances, and such. Your sponsorship would help us with our goal to further students' knowledge of the engineering field, provide opportunities, and most importantly provide a community. Our current project is a robot name "Blocky 'Mater' Balboa" (A team chosen name) who we created for the FIRST Robotics 2023 competitions, now that the competitions are over we have been continue to work on Blocky to improve our skills for next year, and to understand where we could improve.
