Team Ulany - Robocup Junior Open

In October 2022 began, new generation of the team Ulany is composed of 2 students from primary school in Pusté Úľany, little village in Slovakia and aims to design and build robots, for football playing on national, and international competitions. Our mission revolves around driving innovation and sparking inspiration in robotics and artificial intelligence. Our chosen platform for achieving this goal is RoboCup Junior, scheduled to take place in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in July 2024.

Within the RoboCup, various competitions unfold, one of which is the thrilling robot football category. Team Ulany enthusiastically partakes in Soccer Open league, in that league, is with an orange golf ball, blue goal, and yellow goal. All of the teams have got 2 robots, which can be different. Robots must use cameras to find the ball and shoot it at the blue or yellow goal, it uses phototransistors because it must stay in the field. When a ball touches the back side of the goal, team scores.

Technical world is going ahead, and we don’t want to fall behind. We would like to make new robot design with major changes from previous robots from PixyCam to Oak-1 with artificial intelligence and brushed motors to brushless motors respectively.
