lux025 Solar Car
About Us
We are a cross-cultural and multi-disciplined team of motivated students. Together, we strive to push the boundaries of electric efficiency and autonomous technology.
The Mission
To advance mobility towards a more efficient, autonomous and sustainable future.
Our Approach to Success
We are conceptualizing, developing, and manufacturing a highly efficient solar car to compete in global solar automotive competitions. By innovating and pushing technological limits we achieve extreme performance, all with the help of cutting edge technology which offers wide-ranging applications to real-life mobility problems.
What's Next?
Building on the knowledge and success of previous seasons, we are moving towards a big new goal by competing in the largest solar endurance race worldwide, the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge.
We are also continuing to take part in the Shell Eco Marathon and accelerating our progress in autonomous driving by competing in Shells Autonomous Urban Concept competition in 2024

Bridgestone World Solar Challange
The Goal
To drive innovation in solar-powered vehicles and sustainable transport by bringing together global teams to design, build and race high performance solar vehicles on Australia’s challenging terrain.
Objective
For teams to design and build a solar-powered vehicle from scratch. With this the team will travel more than 3,000 kilometers from Darwin to Adelaide with one battery charge at the beginning. All other energy must be received from the sun or recovered from the kinematic energy of the vehicle.
The goal of the challenger class is to have the earliest finish time arriving in Adelaide, while complying with the regulations of the race.
Participants
The teams are usually comprised of tertiary and secondary students. In 2019, the event attracted 53 entries from 24 different countries, involving approximately 1500 participants. It was followed by a worldwide audience of over 25 million viewers.
This makes it the biggest and most prestigious solar challenge worldwide.
Our Legacy
Why we need the help of PCBWAY
Our car is not a simple Battery Electric Vehicle. Our electrical department, also has to consider all the solar components of the car. We especially need PCBs for the inverter, which is crucial part of the car and without which we could not even attempt the race. Hence we will need a large amount of quality PCBs in order to build a competitive car, which is highly efficient and reliable at the same time. After extensive research we found that PCBWAY is one of the few manufacturers, which corresponds with our needs. So we would highly appreciate the support of PCBWAY and make the best use out of the PCBs provided.
