GoWired Multiprotocol Gateway is a versatile hub for all wired communication, it improves on the former GetWired Ethernet Gateway with more power, features, versatility and better solutions for wired automation systems. It also has strong ARM M0+ microcontroller, which is eight times more ROM and sixteen times more RAM memory. Makers doubled the RS485 transceiver to enable it to use two different communication protocols at the same time( MySensors, MODBUS, etc.) and added a CAN transceiver as it is also widely used in home automation. They use advanced Wiznet W5500 chip to ensure reliable Ethernet communication. Microcontroller internet memory can be expanded by an 3D card, e.g. for the purpose of gathering debug information.
GoWired Multiprotocol Gateway also has great power supply circuitry which can handle voltage ranges from 7-26 VDC. Power- related data and other information about the status of the device canbe regularly shared in an e-ink screen or something else. All these designs are consider about reliabilty and safety, especially in power (ESD,overcurrent, overvoltage, reverse polarity protection) and EMC& EMI precautions. The device fits in a compact, four-slot DIN rail enclosure.

The open source software is comptible with Arduino, which includes a custom board definition and can be modified by users' needs. It is worth mentioning that GoWired Multiprotocol Gateway is ready to use out-of-the-box and is plug& play compatible wuth the vast majority of open source home automation controllers( e.g. Home Assistant, Domoticz). Makers also plan to extend software versions to be developed in the future. The software is located on GitHub.
