In mid-May, PCBWay commissioned a third-party testing institution, Huizhou Lier Laboratory to inspect and report on PCBs produced in our factory.Huizhou Lier Laboratory is part of Huizhou Lier Industrial Co., Ltd. This laboratory has provided practical and objective test results for many domestic manufacturing brands.
The test had been conducted at the PCB Reliability Potion Center of the laboratory for two days. The test item was the thermal stress detection. Reference GB/T 4677-2002 test method for printed circuit board, testing conditions: baking board 2 hours at 130 °C , 5 times 10-second tin bleaching at 288 ± 3 °C. After the thermal stress detection, appearance observation and section observation were conducted.
After PCBWay’s sample was subjected to the thermal stress detection , the appearance inspection results showed that the sample did not have obvious blistering, delamination, and other injuries. The results of the biopsy showed that no obvious abnormality was found in the position of the PCB hole, copper was not broken, and there was no separation of the pore wall.
Huizhou Lier Laboratory issued a detailed test report for the PCB samples. The report concluded that: After the thermal stress detection PCB at 288±3°C, no obvious anomaly was found after 10-second tin drifting.
To sum up:
1. According to the above experimental data, the bottom copper of PCB raw materials of PCBWay is a standard 0.5OZ (17um) copper thickness. After drilling, there are still more than 16um of bottom copper thickness, and the tolerance is extremely small, reaching Class A standard.
2. The surface electrical copper thickness of PCBWay’s PCB is 24.49um-25.76um, the overall surface copper thickness is up to 41.37um-42.17um, and the thickness is even, far exceeding 35um (1OZ), higher than the industry average level.
3. The PCB copper thickness of PCBWay is 25.27um-28.78um, and the adhesion is even, which is higher than the 18-22um specified in the international standard IPC-6012.
