Can I solder my heatsink with a 0.3mm copper shim？

Can I solder my heatsink with a 0.3mm copper shim to reduce the gap between heatsink and ihs? I can only find PCB hand solder. can I heat up the shim with solder until solder melt and quickly stick it to heatsink?
