Raspberry Pi Power Circuit Advice Needed

Looking for advice on improving this circuit. I use a 3S Li-Ion battery into a buck converter to power a Raspi trail camera with an on/off switch and led indicator.

I use a largish resistor because I like a dim LED. I have a BMS on the battery. Anything I can do to improve this circuit?

Move the power switch to the buck's input. Switchmode converters still consume power when their output isn't being used.

One idea is to connect the LED to a GPIO pin as opposed to a power pin. You would flash it once every 5 seconds as a sign of life. This saves you battery power and it lets you know that the pi functions correctly, in addition to the power working correctly.
