Barrel Connector Adapter for Bench Power Supplies
I recommend choosing a white or red solder mask color, as it boosts the red light coming from the LEDs. For board thickness I recommend at least 1.6mm for strength, but you can go even thicker if you wish. Just remember that if you go thicker, it will require more solder to properly mount the banana sockets as per my instructions.
This is an adapter board designed to power universal connector sets. Specifically, those which are powered via a 5.5mmx2.1mm slot at the back. The board features a 5.5x2.1mm DC socket, into which you're supposed to insert a 5.5mmx2.1mm male-to-male DC plug adapter. You can then slot in any connector you want!
It features a selection switch to reverse the output polarity of the connector, together with indicator LEDs which easily let you see the current connector output setting. The maximum rating of this board is 24V 3A, or 72W. Volts cannot exceed 30V under any circumstances. Current (amps) might be exceeded temporarily, but there are considerable risks when doing this. I recommend configuring OVP at 30V, and optionally OCP can be configured at 3A when working with this board.
