Microprocessor Development Board for Eurorack
Build your own reusable development board for microprocessor based Eurorack design projects.
Develop your new or customized Eurorack module on a breadboard without worrying about microprocessor hardware and connections and/or cluttering your project with a maze of microprocessor power and register wires, capacitors. etc.
Build your project, write your code, program the chip and transfer into your PCB prototype.
**This is a DIY project, you need to purchase and install some or all of the components depending on requirements.**
**NONE OF THE OTHER COMPONENTS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS ARE SUPPLIED EXCEPT THE MAIN PCB**
Based around the flexible 28 pin [PIC24FJ64GB002 ](http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/39940d.pdf)16-Bit, Flash Microcontrollers with
USB On-The-Go (OTG) and nanoWatt XLP Technology. which is available in DIP 28 and pin compatible SOIC.
- ICSP connector for use with MPLAB IDE and PICKit 3 or similar programmers;
- USB connector so you can develop Eurorack modules that take USB input;
- Connects directly to synth Eurorack power with ribbon cable
- On board PIC power supply derived from synth power supply
- Feed through power -12/+12, +5V, 3.3V and ground to your development project
Benefits:
- Build once and use for all microprocessor-based Eurorack design projects;
- Build, test and program the logic part of your module independently of the remaining hardware;
- For sequencers, quantizers, effects, clocks, multipliers dividers and other digital module development;
- Fine tune and test and then move chip to finished module or use SMD version which is pin and functionally equivalent
Microchip Technology PIC24FJ 16-Bit Microcontrollers feature up to 1MB of flash in a low power, cost effective 16-bit MCU. The PIC24FJ microcontrollers introduce new analog features to extreme low-power devices. These 16-bit microcontrollers have highly integrated peripherals for segmented or graphical displays, USB-OTG, motor control and capacitive touch implementation. The PIC24FJ also have intelligent analog integration. This includes 10/12/16-bit ADCs, DACs, op amps in the smallest form factors available.
This is a high quality PCB ONLY for users who want to purchase their own components and build their own module. Some product photos above show COMPLETED build.
Comprehensive manuals, parts lists and component shopping carts are provided in the documentation link for building, testing and using the module.
