No idea, sorry. But the design files are available, so the design can be updated for a different connector. Please submit a Merge Request, in case.
Not that I know, but just take the PAL BOM and replace the crystal.
Unfortunately I don't see a way to alter the BOM without creating a new project and the gerber zip is password protected. Should I create a new project and generate new gerbers from kicad or do you want to make an NTSC version (I don't know if you benefit monetarily from this so I wouldn't want to ruin that with a new projects that just has one line item difference)
Well, I guess you're planning to order this board assembled. My projects are generally meant for DIY and hand-assembly, so I'm actually surprised there is a BOM at all, it's not my job. PCBWay must have made it themselves for some previous customer and then they must have put it here. I think you can just place a note in the Manufacturing section saying please use crystal XXX instead. But again, my recommendation would be to just build it yourself, it's just a handful of components and they are not even too small.
Ah cool, sorry I thought you created that BOM. Will either clone this project or try the note thing. (Or order the parts and DIY) Thanks!
Well, PCBWay noted our conversation and told me that they have added a note (not sure where) which allows the user to pick the crystal they prefer, so it looks like it should be manageable :). If you need the Gerbers for a custom order send me an email at mynickname at gmail.
Hello, The crystal's notes are in the BOM.
I've never tested that, as the board has a dedicated composite video output. If you find a fix, please share. NOTE: Most AD724 chips around are Chinese remakes, they might not work correctly.
Our components are all sourced from official channels such as mouser and digikey.
Sure, this was mainly meant for DIY builders :). There is a huge price difference between AD724 chips from official sellers and those from Chinese marketplaces, so DIY builders might be tempted... (I was, too, and sometimes I was lucky, sometimes I wasn't!).
It should be fine.
No idea unfortunately.
Go to the github project page then click on Releases.
Thanks a lot :). There's gonna be some interesting news soon!
