PWTS_POWERPACK
Part of the "Playing with the sun" experimental learning kit.
Some of the design philosophy while doing these PCBs is to rectify all outputs (using schottkys), and protect all inputs (using zeners).
The Zener isn't strictly neccesary, and the powerpack will store energy without it, but the ultracap is rated at 5.5V, so you need to trust your power source... DO YOU TRUST YOUR POWER SOURCE???
.. If you're sure the kids playing with this will never put more than 5V on anything, feel free to take that risk... ;)
