HHO GENERATOR
Introduction
The Earth's surface is composed of approximately 70% water. Water's chemical formula is H2O, indicating that it consists of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. Understanding the properties of these two elements reveals the focus of today's project. Hydrogen is highly flammable, while oxygen fuels combustion, meaning water contains a substantial amount of energy. However, we cannot ignite water directly. To utilize this energy, we must separate the elements by breaking their bonds. This process, known as electrolysis, involves using electricity to split water into its constituent gases: hydrogen and oxygen. This mixture is extremely flammable and can be applied in various ways. In this tutorial, we will outline the step-by-step process to build a hydrogen generator.
Let's build it!
Step 1: 3D Print the container and lids only. You can also use similar containers from store.
Step 2: assemble the washers and screws as shown in the image and attach them to the lid of bigger container.
Step 3: Fix the hose barb in its respective size hole.
Step 4: fit the gasket onto their respective lids.
Step 5: fix the lid on the container of both the containers.
Step 6: attach plastic tubing as shown in image.
Step 7: attach wires from battery to each of the two hex bolts. Connect a switch between any 1 terminal of battery and bolt.
Step 8:fill water in both the containers. Add caustic soda in bigger container.
Step 9: when the button is turned on it generates hydrogen and oxygen gas. Which can be used for torch welding or popping bubbles.
