The LMT70 is an ultra-small, high-accuracy, low-power Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) analog temperature sensor with an output enable pin. The LMT70 is suitable for virtually all high-accuracy, low-power cost-effective temperature sensing applications such as Internet of Things (IoT) sensor nodes, medical thermometers, high-precision instrumentation, and battery-operated devices. The LMT70 is also an ideal replacement for RTDs and high precision NTC/PTC thermistors.

Multiple LMT70s can use the output enable pin to share a single analog-to-digital converter (ADC) channel, simplifying the ADC calibration process and reducing the overall cost of precision temperature sensing systems. The LMT70 also features a linear low-impedance output that enables seamless interfacing with off-the-shelf microcontrollers (MCUs)/ADCs. The thermal dissipation of the LMT70 is less than 36μW, and this ultra-low self-heating allows it to maintain high accuracy over a wide temperature range.

The LMT70A has excellent temperature matching, with the temperature of two adjacent LMT70As taken from the same reel differing by at most 0.1°C. Therefore, the LMT70A is an ideal solution for energy metering applications where heat transfer needs to be calculated.
