The Prometheus MSLA the first fully open source resin 3D printer. This printer was created for all the enthusiast makers out there who want to build their own machine. Everything is open source and customizable.

The printer was design with common components easy to source or easy to make. You can 3D print a lot of the printer components using your everyday FDM printer. For the bigger parts like the vat, retaining ring and LCD support, we recommend using a printer with at least 350mm ( like the Voron, Ender5 pro, CR10-s pro, ETC ) but we also have splited version so you can print it on your standard 210mm printer. All the print setting are in the project documentation. With the majority of components that are 3D printed, it makes the Prometheus MSLA a reliable machine easy and cheap to fix or upgrade.

*PCBWAY can produce the aluminum parts needed for the printer arm (see the files down the project page). They will be available elsewhere soon.

The Prometheus MSLA controller board is the first fully open source controller made for resin 3D printers. It's based on the RP2040 and it's also a carrier board for the raspberry pi 4 (and other coming soon). We are planning to make an open source firmware to go with it. It will brings infinite possibilities with adding upgrade module on the ACC port of the board ( ex: heater for the chamber, vacuum pump to release the FEP, all kind of sensors, etc ).

*The PCB are available in our online store. You can order them yourself on PCBWAY but you will not have any support on it if you do so. Ordering on our store is the best way to help the project going.

Not only did he give them fire Prometheus also taught the humans how to use the fire thus giving them the skill of metalwork then ensued the science and the arts allowing us to create anything today.

We created this project because we wanted to offer a machine that was accessible to everyone, we wanted it to be easily modified so that you can create and give your machine your own personal touch.
