Unlock the power of USB Power Delivery (IP5358)
USB C is a fantastic spec, with huge capability of flexible power delivery. InjoinIC make a whole range of power controllers which allows you to make use of all these wonderful new features, including increasing the voltage above the usual 5v, and current up to several amps, well above the usual 500mv or 1v limits.
These chips, and many similar chips from other manufacturers come in tiny packages with BGA type mounts which puts them outside of the easy use of hobbyists. This board is an attempt to breakout all the standard 2.54mm pitch header holes, so you can mount either mount your own male/female headers or you can just pick the pins you want. Also plenty of ground pins for easy access. Once your prototype is complete (using the breakout board), you can have your boards fabricated and have a robot do all the tedious SMD soldering for you!
The design is based on the datasheet provided by the manufacturer. I haven't been able to get my hands on original chips as yet so caveat emptor, but the breakout is very simple with no passive components.
