  • Do you think the 74HC range would work in place of the 74HCT range? Thank you :-)

  • This is great I`ve had this working on a 48k Spectrum and a ZX Spectrum 128k +3 (so you dont have to do the motherboard MOD)

  • Most critical IC on this board is U4 74LS00 which is a part of the clock generator. Not every IC can work like that.If you don`t get clear sound just popping or clicking Please try to use different families of this IC like 74HCT00 , 74HC00 or even 74LS00 in U4 but from different makers. You can also try to solder 1M (megaohm) resistor between two legs of 3,57MHz crystal. After this advice from the maker of this PCB it works great!! hope this helps if you have had this problem. For the jumpers on the abc or acb :- There are two jumpers that are used two ways – horizontal – they will set up ABC Stereo, or vertical – they will set up then ACB Stereo. ABC Stereo means left channel will contain A+B+Beeper, the right – B+C+Beeper. ACB Stereo means left channel will contain A+C+Beeper, the right – B+C+Beeper
