Minimal chip count 6809 computer (from Grant Searle) PCB ver.2 with addition of handshake circuit.
For any details about the circuit please refet to Grant Searle web site, where you can find all necessary information, as well as the hex code to program the 27128 eprom. (http://searle.x10host.com/6809/Simple6809.html)
Some extra SMD resistor were added to connect cpu control pins to Vcc, and a simple delay circuit has been added to reset circuit.
As you can see in the closeup pictures, unforunately there is a little mistake in the PCB... probably an undesired mouse drag moved the via connection between top and bottom face close to the 68B50 IC (see on the photo the "via" located on the bottom end of "C" character of "KiCad" word). To fix the problem it's possible to drill a little hole and connect top and bottom tracks using a short and small wire or a cutted terminal of a through hole component (resistor, capacitor, etc.)
In the attached pictures you an see my final assembly. It's perfectly working with Null Modem adapter described on Grant's website and the Putty terminal program on PC.
Electronics and computers are my hobbies, I'm not a professional, so I don't take any responsibility for any problems or damage. Please use at your own risk.
