YOUTUBE SUBSCRIBERS COUNTER
A compact desktop widget showing the number of subscribers to the YouTube channel in real time, as well as the change in the last hour and day. Depending on the growth rate of the number of subscribers, the backlight color changes (from slow blue to fast red), and the brightness of the display backlight depends on the level of illumination in the room where the widget is.
The project is fully assembled on the ESP-12 WiFi module, a 1602 LCD display with an adapter for the I2C bus is used, which generally makes it possible to use only ESP here.
ESP connects to the home WiFi router, knowing the login and password, logs into the YouTube API, requests a page with channel statistics, parses it, finds the desired value and displays it!
